Location: The Forest at Duke Party Room
Organizer: Presented by Major (Ret.) Jason Criss Howk
Join us as Major (Ret.) Jason Criss Howk leads a discussion about Islam and its holy text the Qur’an to help people understand the religion and its basic beliefs.
Howk’s latest book, The Qur’an: A Chronological Modern English Interpretation, will be available for sale at the event. From the author: “I wrote this book because I want to help people understand Islam. This is not an attempt to spread a religion or to denigrate it. I offer it as a gift to anyone seeking to bridge the gap in their understanding of Islam. In the end, education and understanding—and acceptance of other cultures—will unite the world against hatred. Let this be a part of that education.”
Registration is required. Interested individuals of at least 65 years of age may register by emailing marketing@forestduke.org or by calling 919-433-2361.
