  • 2004-2009: Fabulous Fifty Certified Nursing Assistant Award – North Carolina Healthcare Facilities Association (NCFA)
  • 2004: Nursing Employee of the Year – North Carolina Association of Homes and Services for the Aged (NCANPHA)
  • 2004: Best National Project in Progress – The Forest at Duke Health and Wellness Center addition – The Society for the Advancement of Gerontological Environments (SAGE) and Nursing Homes/Long-Term Management magazine
  • 2003: Star Certification – OSHA, North Carolina Department of Labor (NCDOL)—First health facility in the country to achieve this highest OHSA designation for safety in the workplace; certification good for 3 years
  • 2001: Environmental Services Employee of the Year – North Carolina Association of Homes and Services for the Aged (NCANPHA)
  • 1997: Environments Grand Award – Memory Support Wandering Garden – North Carolina Landscaping Contractors Association
  • 1996: Citation of Excellence – The Forest at Duke Memory Support Center and Wandering Garden – American Association of Homes and Services for the Aged (AASHA) and American Institute of Architects (AIA)
