Programs & Activities

At The Forest, we are seekers of knowledge. We are devoted to lifelong learning, education and exploration.

The people who live here are curious and passionate about learning about new people, places and things. Our residents attend classes and concerts on site or take advantage of Durham’s theatre options downtown, events on area campuses and sports all over the Triangle. We take every possible opportunity to exercise the mind and invigorate the spirit.

Here at The Forest you’ll be surrounded by 400+ ways every month to keep doing, contributing, achieving — feeding the body, nurturing the mind, nourishing the soul.

Between our extensive in-house programming, classes organized by the renowned Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Duke University and off-campus excursions in every direction for just about any interest, there are always new and interesting things to discover.
