Portrait Project: Angela Carson

Angela Carson

“I love to serve people. It’s a joy to do what I do.”

Angela Carson, a treasured member of our Housekeeping team and the primary designated trainer for her department, has been part of The Forest at Duke family for 25 years. Like so many other team members, she says that residents are her favorite part of working in our community, citing their kindness and describing them as an extension of her own family.

To those who know and work with Angela, it comes as no surprise that her supervisor has no shortage of kind words for her. “She is one of the nicest people you would ever want to meet,” he says. “She keeps a smile on her face and a good attitude, even in the face of difficult circumstances.”

Outside of work, Angela loves going to church, ministering to others, and spending time with her two sons—Trevor, 21, and Thurston, 8. She gives credit to God for all of the good things in her life and is thankful for the spirit of community she’s found at The Forest.
