Since 2006, Kenny Johnson has been a member of the Dining Services team here at The Forest at Duke. When asked about what he values most about his career, he doesn’t hesitate:
“The thoughtfulness of the residents and the family first attitude of the organization; both of those are big for me.”
Originally from Long Island, Kenny comes from a large family and knows the importance of those strong ties. He is always willing to help, not only his family but also his team at The Forest. And while he is known for being a service-focused team member, his pizza is equally renowned. With over 27 years of experience making pies, Kenny has an expansive menu ranging from classic Neapolitan pizza to untraditional shrimp scampi flatbread.
No matter the toppings, The Forest at Duke is lucky because when Kenny is not with his family, he is most at home in front of his brick-baked pizza oven here, creating exceptional flavors for residents and guests.
