“The Forest at Duke is involved in so much good work in the Durham community. I wanted to be a part of telling that story.”
As a native of Durham, Alice Sharpe has always felt a strong desire to be involved in her community through volunteer work. Serving on the board of The Forest at Duke was a natural fit, and Alice takes pride in working with residents and team members towards the common goal of engaging and supporting the greater Durham community. Through her work with the Durham Library Foundation, Alice was instrumental in fostering a relationship that enabled The Forest to increase access to books by equipping public libraries with large print books and e-readers. When she’s not working as a real estate broker or volunteering in her community, Alice enjoys gardening on her rooftop in downtown Durham.
