A Conversation with Mab Segrest

Author of Memoir of a Race Traitor: Fighting Racism in the American South
Mab Segrest is Fuller-Maathai Professor Emeriti of Gender and Women’s Studies at Connecticut College and a 2017-18 Fellow at the National Humanities Institute. She is a long-time activist in issues of social justice. Her 1994 classic, Memoir of a Race Traitor: Fighting Racism in the American South is being reissued by The New Press, and a new book, Administrations of Lunacy: Racism and the Haunting of American Psychiatry at the Milledgeville Hospital, will be out from The New Press in February 2020. Segrest will read from and chat about both books.
