Anita L. Holt, MPH

President / CEO

Anita L. Holt, MPH

Anita L. Holt is a seasoned professional in the field of aging services. She has more than 25 years of executive leadership in continuing care and senior living communities. Ms. Holt is an advocate of innovation, strategic service, and program development that responds to the emerging needs of older adults.

Ms. Holt holds a Master of Public Health from Boston University School of Public Health. In addition, she is a proud graduate of Northeastern University.

Lee Ann Bailey-Clayton, NHA

Director of Health Services

Lee Ann Bailey-Clayton, NHA

Lee Ann Bailey-Clayton’s 29-year career has been firmly planted in the medical field of acute care and long-term care. Nearly 20 of those years have been spent here with The Forest at Duke. Ms. Bailey-Clayton’s professional interests include dementia care and communication, human behavior, and team member morale and development. She is a graduate of Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Social Work degree.

In 2016, Ms. Bailey-Clayton achieved her North Carolina Nursing Home Administrator’s license. An accomplished leader and mentor, she was awarded the North Carolina Emerging Leader Award from Leading Age North Carolina in 2018.

Karen Henry, CPA

Director of Finance / CFO and Treasurer

Karen Henry, CPA

Karen Henry has served as the Director of Finance since June 2005. She also serves as the Treasurer and the Assistant Secretary to the organization’s Board of Directors. Ms. Henry is responsible for the accounting and financial administration of The Forest and assists the Executive Director with budgeting and long-range planning.

Ms. Henry has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. Before The Forest, she worked with KPMG LLP, Hershey Foods Corporation, Quintiles Transnational Corporation, and Constella Group. Ms. Henry is a member of the NC Association of Certified Public Accountants.

Milta O. Little, DO

Medical Director

Milta O. Little, DO

Dr. Milta O. Little has specialized in Geriatric Medicine for over 13 years. She is passionate about ensuring that the appropriate, collaborative care is delivered to senior adults across all settings of care.

Dr. Little graduated with honors from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University in 2006. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at St. Mary’s Health Center – St. Louis and her fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at St. Louis University. Dr. Little speaks both English and Spanish and enjoys teaching and leading others. She is board certified in both geriatrics and internal medicine.

Art Ernteman

Director of Dining Services

Art Ernteman

Art Ernteman is an operations and management professional with over 15 years of experience. He is adept in overseeing multi-million dollar operating budgets, developing award-winning business models, and leading large, diverse teams of professionals.

Since joining The Forest, Mr. Ernteman has brought farmers’ markets to campus, built collaborative activities and relationships with residents, and strengthened menu offerings.

April Ravelli

Director of Sales and Marketing

April Ravelli

April Ravelli brings a depth of more than 15 years of experience as an accomplished leader in digital marketing, advertising, and branding. In addition to directing the sales and marketing for independent living at The Forest, April provides oversight and branding control of all marketing materials, advertising, and media placement.

Prior to The Forest at Duke, April served as the Executive Director of One World Market, a 25-year-old Durham non-profit organization.

Sandy Mouras

Director of Resident Life

Sandy Mouras

Sandy Mouras joined The Forest at Duke in September 2011. As the Director of Resident Life, she is responsible for developing distinct, vibrant programs and services in independent living. Ms. Mouras’ impressive schedule of event and activities supports residents’ need to be engaged and supported inside The Forest and in the greater Durham community.

In 2017, Ms. Mouras was selected as a fellow with the Leading Age NC Leadership Academy. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from James Madison University. Currently, she serves as a member of the Urban Ministries of Durham Board of Directors.

Nathan Summers

Director of General Services

Sandy Mouras

Nathan Summers spent over 15 years in the service of seniors before coming to The Forest at Duke. During his 25-year career, Nathan has led teams in all service areas, including maintenance, security, housekeeping, landscaping, and administration. Nathan was recognized in 2015 by North Carolina Leading Age for “Excellence in Customer Service.”

A Certified Aging Services Professional, Nathan has worked with various project development teams and post-construction initiatives. He has also helped two communities receive the important CARF accreditation for CCRCs.
